Add a VIN Decoder Button to Your Google Toolbar!

Ok, Wow, I found this incredible function for the new version of the Google Toolbar. You can add your own custom buttons that provide services! Being the tinkerer and tool builder that I am, I had to give it a try. It's amazing how easy it was to add VIN decoding services to the Google Toolbar!

By adding the button to your toolbar you can simply select a VIN on any web page, press the button, and it will direct you to Decode This! and decode your VIN! No more copy/paste to use the decoding services here. This works GREAT when browsing eBay Motors or coming across a cool car for sale on a web site.

You can also type (or paste) a VIN into the search box and click the Decode This! button to decode the number. It's incredibly easy to use (and quite fun!).

Google has also made it quite easy to install the button on your toolbar. Simply click the link below and you'll be prompted to install the button. Note that you need version 4 or later of the toolbar to add the button, but Google will redirect you to download the new toolbar version if you don't have it...
